Search the Fire TV store for Downloader (the orange icon) and install it. Open it once and grant storage permission. Downloader is a normal, store-listed utility — it is simply how you install apps Amazon does not carry itself.
In Downloader's URL field, enter the download address of the Xtream Codes player you have chosen and press Go. When the APK downloads, choose Install, then Done, then Delete to remove the installer and free space.
Open the player and pick Add user or Login with Xtream Codes API. Name the profile anything you like, then type your username, password and server URL exactly as they appear in your activation email. Type them by hand — a trailing space from pasting is the most common cause of a rejected login.

Try these in order: switch to the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band, add a powered USB Ethernet adapter for the main TV, and clear the player's cache. If buffering only happens at peak hours across many channels, tell support — that pattern points at an edge server and we can move your line.
